Glaucoma and Cataract surgery

 

Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases which damages the optic nerve and result in vision loss and the most common type is open-angle glaucoma with less common types including closed-angle glaucoma and normal-tension glaucoma. About 6 to 67 million people facing glaucoma globally. Glaucoma is well known for "silent thief of sight" Worldwide; glaucoma is the second-leading cause of blindness after cataracts. Cataracts caused 51% of blindness in 2010, while glaucoma caused 8%.
